We all know that the limelight shines bright on these actors. There is one thing that we may not ever know and that is where they live when they are not on the set. Sit back relax and let’s have a look at where they hang their hats. According to Forbes Magazine Oprah Winfrey is our prime celeb, so let’s go have a look at her crib.
Oprah has purchased a rather large estate, besides the one that she has in Hawaii. The new one was a whopping $50 million. It sits on 42 acres of land. This beautiful pink-sided mansion is 23,000 square feet. There are tennis courts, a lake and an orchard as well as other amenities. There is a large fountain in the back. Several stairwells surround the front, leading to the house. This is the second most expensive estate ever purchased in the Los Angeles area. It actually sits in Santa Barbara.
Forbes next pick was Tiger Woods. Well, it appears as if Woods is building a total of three estates. Indecisive, the choice was simply, “which one is the most recent”? So with that we will go on over to Jupiter, Florida where he is putting together a beautiful 10,000 square foot mansion that sits beautifully in the middle of a tropical forest. The tropical forest stretches from the beach to The Intercoastal waterway and will cost him about $4.5 million when it is all said and done.
Angelina Jolie
This is not the only one, but more intriguing is that we will never be able to actually see her French mansion. Yes, it is in France and sounds absolutely stunning! This beauty is about 30 million francs. Chateau Miraval sits in a French village called Brignol. It is about 1000 acres and is south of France. There are 35 bedrooms. Not to mention the vineyard, a lake along with a forest and a moat. With all of this, it enables them to the peace and privacy that they were seeking to begin with.
Beyonce Knowles
Jay Z and Beyonce have recently been married and they are currently awaiting the completion of their mansion in Scarsdale, New York. It is a Colonial home that is approximately 15,000 square feet and sits on 2 acres of land. They have been awaiting the grand entrance into their new home for about 6 months.
David Becham
David and Victoria Becham have recently purchased a villa by the Sunset Strip. It was ultimately Victoria’s choice as well. People Magazine found out that they recently found a mansion in Los Angeles. They say that it isn’t huge but it is big enough for a family of five as well as guests.
John Travolta
You will be amazed at his home because it isn’t really the mansion that will take you by surprise. His yard looks more like an airport. He has two jets that sit in his yard, right outside of Ocala, Florida. He has a Boeing 707 as well as Gulfstream jets and a Lear. Basically, he walks outside and down his walkway straight into the cockpit.
Halle Berry
Back in August of 2005, Halle Berry purchased a $3.4 million home on the Hollywood Hills. It is an Italian style four-bedroom mansion. It includes a swimming pool, 2 fire pits that are made of volcanic lava and a hot tub as well.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
His home can be found in Brentwood. He also owns vacation homes in Idaho and Massachusetts. His home is about 11,000 square feet. He stays in a pent house as well. It is just across the street from the Capitol.
Eddie Murphy
This mansion houses a bowling alley as well as a theater and recording studio. It is a 25,000 square foot home and he lived there for 18 years before he put it on the market in 1994. He was selling it for $30 million. According to the tax department, taxes are oh only about $200,000.
Brad Pitt
Before the one that he and Angelina Jolie purchased in France, Brad purchased a mansion in Malibu, California. This is a $9 million mansion. It is four bedrooms with a 70-foot swimming pool. He also has two familiar neighbors, including Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson.
The luxuries of being famous. Sometimes we wonder how in the world someone can live in so much space. Take Oprah for instance… why so big? I guess if you have the money, it’s no big deal.
