Joining Your Passion to a Service that Makes a Difference

Yesterday, we looked at what your passion is.

We identified clearly what you are passionate about . . . what you’re enthusiastic about, . . . what motivates you . . . and what inspires you.

Now it’s time to join that passion to a service that makes a difference.

Believe it or not, but when you’re involved in a service that is joined with your passion, you can clearly see that that’s “making a difference on the level of society”, . . . you will have . . . phenomenal power to generate, . . . and create . . . a context for generating great wealth in your life.

So many people are involved in mundane, routine tasks that they are not excited about.

It may be:

  • picking up your child from school
  • taking out the garbage
  • paying bills
  • running errands
  • coaching soccer
  • cooking dinner
  • or, just your plain old job

These are all . . . boring and not challenging and . . . you get . . . what you put in. That’s not exciting.

No,

I am not telling you . . . to quit your job today. . . no that would be foolish if that’s your only source of income.

What I am suggesting you do is begin to identify what you’re passionate about, like what we talked about at the previous lesson, and then secondly how you can tie that to service.

Look for a way to serve humanity in some way.

It is like Penny Parker. Penny worked for GM . . . all . . . her life. She was a Payroll Supervisor working in Detroit Michigan. Working behind a computer and interacting with barely no-one. It was still a 9 – 5pm job . . . but . . . that . . . was not cutting it. Her heart was somewhere else.

Penny is more of a people person.

What she really loved to do was knit. Penny knitted sweaters, scarves, ponchos and baby blankets . . . and . . . almost everyone in her life had a sample of Penny’s artistic craft. And . . . you know what . . . her husband said to her one day?

He said you know what . . . honey . . . I really noticed that you are very, very happy when you are knitting . . . and I noticed that especially when you give them away. I see . . . that you feel a sense of joy . . . when . . . you see the joy on people’s faces.

I just wish that you can do what you love to do and not work that JOB anymore.

So, Penny began to think.

Yes, I can do what I Love and Also Serve Humanity

And why not?

Someone out there can appreciate my artistic talents.

Then, Penny realized that she did love that more than doing anything else. She was relaxed, content . . . happy and fulfilled.

Then,

Penny remembered that mothers giving birth in the local community hospital were by and large a poor population. So she decided . . . why not share my love for knitting . . and knit baby blankets for these newborns?

So Penny began to knit baby blankets . . . different colors . . . with different emblems and . . . different patterns. She gave them away to these young mothers just before the Hospital discharged them with their new born baby. Oh boy, she loved giving and as she gave . . . her heart warmed up more and more.

But the story doesn’t end there,

A local newspaper found out about Penny and they covered Her Story in the City newspaper. . . . And with that, Penny’s story was then featured in the Good Housekeeping magazine.

But the story doesn’t end there,

With all this coverage, a major Garment Manufacturer contacted her and decided to create a new Line - to their baby clothing division. And yes, it included Penny’s very own designs, emblems and patters.

Now, does she have to work at the JOB now? No . . . way . . . Penny’s . . . well . .. the rest is history . . .

Talk about Establishing a Personal Passion that Serves Humanity?

Now, we can ask ourselves,

  • In what way do you want to serve humanity?
  • In what way do you want to serve others?
  • In what way can you see yourself being of service?

How can you serve powerfully and create for yourself a dynamic work in the world?

So many times when we look at ourselves, we don’t see an opportunity for service, but I’m here to tell you right now that . . . every human being on the planet . . . can serve.

Living a Life of Powerful Service through Your Personal Passion is Living Powerfully . . Thereby Creating A Dynamic Shift In Your Financial Life

We can all find a way to serve, and in finding a way to serve, what you end up doing is participating in something bigger than you.

By participating in something BIGGER than yourself,

  • you have a greater opportunity of being a blessing to others,
  • and of making a difference in society,

And Guess What,

A RICHER LIFE WILL COME BACK TO YOU!!

Nobody ever serves without getting rewarded in some way. There is no service that can be rendered without some kind of benefit coming back to the one doing the service.

Now, it may not always come back in financial monetary means, but it always comes back, . . . even if it only comes back in you experiencing more joy . . . and you experiencing more love and . . . you experiencing more of a sense of purpose or experiencing a change of heart.

Whatever the transformation is for you, believe me, it is of significant value. . . . And, it comes when you serve others . . . Initiating . . . for you a pathway to abundant wealth.

Abundant Wealth begins with Service.

As a Participant in the My Well of Wealth 30-Day Challenge , I would like you to:

STEP 1. Tie Your Personal Passion with a Service

Identify what service you could provide that is naturally aligned with your personal passion.
