I want you to answer this question and answer it truthfully.
Are you playing the money game without a budget?
Are you pretending that you don’t need to engage in personal finance budgeting?
If you are, then let me tell you right now, you are set up and destined for failure. I was shocked to find out how many people are pretending that they don’t need to engage in personal finance budgeting.
Let me tell you Darrel’s story.
Darrel worked two jobs and one job on the weekend. Two during the week and one on the weekend. He was working three jobs in all doing all in his power to make ends meet. He focused in order to better himself financially and improve his economics on making more money.
But there was zero focus on his old personal finance budgeting. And so the result is Darrel knew little about how much money he was spending and how much money he was really making.
Can you imagine walking through life not knowing how much it costs you to live?
If this is the scenario your find yourself it, then no wonder you’re broke. You don’t even know how much it costs you to continue operating day after day. Darrel didn’t know, but he’s not the only one.
There are thousands of people who operate as if it doesn’t matter that they don’t know how much money they spend every day. These people do not engage in any kind of personal finance budgeting.
My best tips on budgeting are useless for them because they don’t even budget. Nothing they do can ever dig them out of the financial hole they’re in because they refuse to identify how much money it’s costing them to live day after day. More than that, they refuse to identify how much they owe.
The total and complete failure to look at one’s debt and determine whether or not you’re crawling out of the hole or digging yourself further in the hole will lead to a life of financial failure.
And so I’m here to put a stop to the madness of walking around and operating as if it doesn’t matter that you are not writing out a budget.
It does matter!
Stop pretending that you can build financial wealth and power without engaging in some form of personal finance budgeting. You must learn to do far more than merely engage in personal finance budgeting. You must learn to take advantage of the hot tips on budgeting that I have talked about so much on this blog.
Begin to take inventory of how much debt you have.
Begin to identify where your debts are:
- What do you owe?
- Who do you owe?
- How much do you owe?
Get a hard number.
Write it down.
But then beyond that, identify how much you’re spending everyday.
What does it cost to you to live, to exist on the planet?
What is it taking financially?
Now that you have these numbers identified clear, your mind can go to work to find a solution for how much money you really need. Now that you know how much you need, you can begin to determine how much extra you want to acquire in order to have something to save.
Finally now, you’re on the pathway to developing a powerful financial future. It all begins by you be willing to engage in the task of personal finance budgeting.
I’ve got two exciting opportunities right now to share with you in this post, something that will help you as you start to engage in personal finance budgeting:
