I’m sure you’ve heard it before.  Make sure you write down whatever your goals are for your future.  Donald and Kathy had heard this over and over again from various different sources. But do you think they listened? NO! Do you know what they missed out on? They missed out on real clear experiential understanding of the power of using budget worksheets in your life.  Think of it in terms of what you will miss by not writing your very own future financial plans written down.

  • A Road map –  Have a clear and visible plan for your future
  • A Designed Life – A chance to live a life they designed and planned out financially
  • Definitiveness and certainty – Less uncertainty and more clarity concerning how much money you have

And so their financial goals simply remained a dream, a wish, a hope and a dream that floated around in their own personal head space.  It never became reality because they refused to take the steps to make it so.  Eventually they simply failed to take advantage of opportunities they would have seen and pounced on had they kept ever before them a plan for financial action.

Whatever you do I strongly urge you not to let this happen to you! Later on they were financially stuck and in foreclosure and wondering why their life led them away from their financial goals and not towards them.  In every area of their life it was clear they were moving away from their aspirations and not towards them.

Is this your challenge right now? Are you wondering what Donald and Kathy were wondering? Why has my life led me away from my financial goals and not towards them?
